Hi, I'm Lindsey! Thank you very much for taking the time to look around my site and consider me to capture this special time in your life. I'm a Santa Rosa girl, born and raised, 2nd Generation to be exact. Mama to two rowdy boys who keep me on my toes and inspire me (and drive me crazy) in the most wonderful way. I love wine (hello wine country!) and Grey's Anatomy (don't ask me how many times I've watched the series). I get happy every time I watch the sunset or find a field of wildflowers. I love the outdoors, camping and hiking, spending time with my family and exploring new places. In my spare time, you'll find me thrifting and antiquing for newborn props, browsing Etsy and Prop Maker groups on Facebook (I'm a self proclaimed prop hoarder), trust me, this works out in your favor, you should see my stash!
A lot of people ask me, "Why newborns?" followed by, "They are so hard and time consuming!" And while that may be true... I feel a deep connection to the newborn stage, it feels natural for me to hold them, provide comfort and care while posing, always putting safety first. I am a swaddle pro and master of the "shhhhhhh". The first few weeks of a baby's life is so tender and precious, it really is fleeting. In my opinion, there is nothing like it in the whole world, and it must be captured on camera!
When I'm in my studio everything else that may be going on in the world stands still. I love getting to the studio early, turning on the white noise machine and cranking up the heater. I take time and browse my props and fabrics, selecting items with care and coordination (don't worry moms, I always ask for your preferred color palette!). I feel completely in my element, my very own happy place, if you will.
